New TV Season

It's that time of year again. So far my favorite new show is Reaper. Chuck is also a keeper. I enjoyed Bionic Woman, Back to You, Private Practice (somewhat disappointing), and (to my surprise) Gossip Girl enough to keep watching for now. I can't wait to see Pushing Daisies next week.

How I Met Your Mother and Bones got off to strong starts. I'm not sure about Heroes yet, but I'm so happy to see David Anders.

Recycle

We just got back from seeing Monty Python's Spamalot. It was hilarious.

Gillian Welch

I saw Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings last night. They were amazing. Too bad the venue (Liberty Hall) sucks.

I finally saw Rescue Dawn Friday night. I loved it.

Bad news for The Dresden Files fans, it has been cancelled. I enjoyed it while it lasted.

My pretty girl turns 11 today. She was our first cat and has lived with us for 8 years. She still hasn't forgiven us for letting other cats in the house.

Trail Ride

I participated in a trail ride clinic yesterday. It was a good day, full of learning and fun, but VERY hot. I managed to get a sunburn. That's what you get for riding all day in July, I guess. Here's a picture of a sunflower field on the trail.

Veronica Mars has been cancelled. I'm not surprised, but it still hurts. Next year will be strange without the Gilmore Girls and Veronica. I don't feel too bad about Gimore Girls because I really liked the finale.
